Green Thumb Consulting (“Green Thumb,” “we,” “us”) is a growth consulting firm based in Dallas, Texas. This policy describes what information we collect through greenthumb.consulting, how we use it, and the choices you have. The short version: we collect as little as we can, we don’t sell it, and you can ask us to delete it any time.
What we collect
Information you give us. If you subscribe to “the green thumb,” we collect your email address. If you email us, book a session, or make a booking request, we receive whatever you include — typically your name, email, and something about your business.
Information collected automatically. Like most websites, our hosting and any analytics tools we use may collect basic technical information: IP address, browser and device type, the pages you visit, and how you arrived. We use this in aggregate to understand how the site is used, not to identify you personally.
How we use it
We use your information to send you the newsletter you subscribed to, respond when you contact us, deliver services you’ve asked about, and improve the site and our content. That’s it. We do not sell your personal information, and we don’t share it with third parties for their own marketing.
Email and unsubscribing
“The green thumb” is free, and every email we send includes an unsubscribe link. Unsubscribing takes effect immediately and you won’t hear from us again unless you sign back up. We use Mailchimp to manage our email list, which means your email address is stored with them under their privacy practices.
Third-party services
Some pages embed content from other companies, and those companies may set cookies or collect usage data when you interact with it: videos are embedded from YouTube (we use its privacy-enhanced mode), some videos link out to LinkedIn, and our email list runs on Mailchimp. Their privacy policies govern what they collect.
Cookies
We keep cookie use to the minimum needed for the site and any embedded services to work. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the site will still work.
Keeping your information
We keep subscriber emails for as long as you’re subscribed, and correspondence for as long as it’s useful for serving you. We take reasonable measures to protect the information we hold, though no method of storage or transmission is completely secure.
Your choices
You can unsubscribe at any time, and you can email us to ask what information we have about you, to correct it, or to have it deleted. We’ll honor those requests unless we’re legally required to keep something.
Children
Our site and newsletter are for business audiences and aren’t directed at children under 13. We don’t knowingly collect information from them.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we’ll update it here with a new “last updated” date. Meaningful changes to how we handle subscriber information will be noted in the newsletter.
